Welcome to the ​Rotorua Yacht Club

Situated near Ohinemutu on the Lake Rotorua waterfront, you'll find us sailing dinghy yachts and catamarans most Sunday afternoons during the summer months. ​We usually rig from 12:00pm, to be on the water by 3pm. And fortnightly in winter months.

We offer Learn to Sail Youth and Adult Sailing Programmes.  ​Popular learning classes include Optimist, Laser (4.7, Radial and Standard), Topaz.  ​​Our sheltered lake is superb for experienced sailors and those who are just getting started.

Twilight Sailing
​Social sailing series held on Friday evenings during Terms 1 and 4 daylight savings.  All members welcome.
Depends on support.
4:30-7:00pm.
​Cancellations and updates on WhatsApp and Messenger.
Rigging from 4:30pm.
First race at 5:15pm.
