Learning to sail involves having fun and getting wet!  You will be shown how to rig your boat for sailing, how to launch and retrieve it and of course, how to capsize and right it again.

Conditions can change quickly on the water and we encourage sailors to be prepared.  Even though you may feel warm on land, the temperature on the water is often cooler.  So it's a good idea to take a windbreaker or an extra thermal layer.

• Togs/shorts, warm top or woollen jersey
• Lightweight jacket or windbreaker
• ​Footwear that may get wet 
• Sun hat, sun glasses, sunscreen (if hot)
• Beanie (if cold)
• Hair tie for long hair
• Towel and a change of clothes
• A snack for after sailing
• Water bottle
